Mother Fish had seen enough. She had seen too many of her friends die, choking on plastic, rusted metal pieces and all kinds of garbage that came from land. Not to mention the way the ocean simply felt different now, with everything being dumped into it.
She often wondered if she had made a mistake by bringing her children into a world such as this. But what was done, was done, and it was time to act now.
She had seen people dive into the ocean wearing things that helped them breathe underwater. Why could she not go to land?
She would warn those silly human beings about the danger they posed to themselves and to every species under the sun. She would reveal to them worlds under the sea where carefully balanced ecosystems were under seige. And then it might enter their thick skulls that yes, they were indeed ingenious in their technology - instead of turning it to predatorial and parasitic means, they could do so much more by learning to understand the living, breathing world. Use their technology in enhancing their surroundings, not destroying it. A species not to be feared, but admired by the others.
She knew how she would do it. She would swim into their dreams.
