AMER RASHID

I, Amer Rashid am a Multidisciplinary Artist - my work encompasses Visual Arts, Architecture, Design and Virtual Reality.

I see my work as a process of trying to uncover what it means to be human, and of revealing the challenges we face as humans. I am fascinated by our relation to Nature, our relation to other living beings, our histories, our created cultures and mythologies.

 

Simultaneously, despite our technological ‘progress’ and scientific ‘advances’ we find ourselves in a world of wars, ecological crisis and suffering. Our own technological tools threaten to turn against us. We are facing extinctions on a mass scale. I aim to channel my energies into understanding ourselves and these dangers, in order to illuminate a path to hope, through an experience of beauty.
